861922 MILLS? Washington 22nd 1861 one Well David I have come to the schoollhouse to answer your letter which I re ceived last night I am well as usual but I am a little mad J. Graham has acused us of the awfur crime of trying to steal his dog of which I am innocent I am going to tell him if he dont take him away I will kill him We have met with misfortune since I wrote to you be fore Old nell hand herself in the stable the 6th of this month. O sall is in good health and is able to go to sprees and singings nell had two colts in her she makes god dog and wolf feed you can guess why grahams dog stays here I am trying to buy another another the snow is deep deep about 20 inches we have had sleighing about two months but it was hard to keep the roads broke we go to sprees with the oxen there was one at trimbles last week and one at Mckees the week before you wanted to know who was teaching the schools Hamilton shannon is teaching there is no school in the knowledge box Alexander knox is teaching at the [brush?] school house and boarding at home It is a stranger that is teaching No 4 four
