in the afternoon every thing was packed up at Hd Qrs the mules of the amunition train were harnessed, expecting an attact on the flank by the rebs, a very heavy shower came up in the afternoon no fighting to be heard except an occasional cannon & some picket firing 9th were relieved from guarding the trains & came to the regt 11th nothing unusual occured untill during the night when there was a charge made have not learned the
