Oct a small clearing) had orders to remain there untill 4 oclock then return to camp. at 4 orders came to remain there untill the rest of the Corps came up & then to march forward, after dark about half of us started back after our knapsacks arrived at camp about 9 P M, the seventeenth A C is passing through town 29th as soon as we get our breakfast each man shoulders two knapsacks & start for the regt arrive about 10 A M about 1 P M the 1st & 3rd brigades pass us & take
