I would much rather be out where there is something new to be seen and where there is something to excite and cheer our dull minds, if I was not kept very busy at work I would certainly get very lonely. I find it best to always have some imployment. how are you passing the long summer days? you speak of it being lonesome in the Bottom I expect it is very lonely, yet I know of no neighborhood in the County except Tabor that has better society than our's it is true the people are somewhat selfish and appearently unneighborly. yet they have one good quality that is staying at home, and tending to their own affairs, visiting is very pleasant when not to frequent but I never knew a neighborhood that visited a great deal but what got to tattling and that is one of the most despiseable habits neighbors ever fell in to.
