Head quarters 4th Div. C.C. MOM Macon, Ga. April 23d 1865. Special Orders} No. 53} Private Robert C. Wood, Co. A, 4th Iowa Cavalry, having meritoriously distinguished himself by his gallantry and bravery in the recent engagement with the enemy at Columbus, Georgia, on the 16th inst. is hereby detailed for duty as orderly at these Head quarters. He will report at once to Brevet Major James W. Latta ast. adjt Genl. By order of Bvt. Maj. Gen Upton James W. Latta A.A.Genl.
