orderly's [calls?], much to the disgust of us all. Orders for 3 roll calls per day and for an inspection tomorrow In the evening we rec'd orders to march early and drew rations late at night. Our Battery drew some new pieces to-day. Col. L- says he will leave us soon, he aspiring to the command of a Negro Reg't. 17th Did not leave early, as we supposed. At 9 A.M.
