We had the satisfaction of seeing the pickets of the 4th Corps make a flank movement upon the enemy opposite us, who fell back without firing a shot.* The 4th had crossed yesterday above us. Relieved of the unpleasant duty of driving the Rebs from the bank, our "Pontooners" soon had their "canvass" boats across and our corps moving across.
