The "Johnnies" trailed a huge "64" on us and the 2nd,, shot killed and wound six men of 23d,, Mo. They continue firing the "thing" until dark, bursting them most beautifully right at the spot, Several horses killed in the 7th. Ind Bat. In the forenoon they amused themselves by throwing 20" bl shells down the length of our lines The boys all dodge these big ones and our works would be little protection if struck by one of them.
