Fell behind in the afternoon And staid at the house of a good Union man was well treated The way we soddered the old fellow was quite amusing 27 Started for the regt and found it near Louisville. Regt went on picket and I for the first time, remained behind being too unwell to go, Rain nearly all day We find over a hundred new regiments here having been run here on short notice for the defense of the city See a number of old acquaintances in these regiments Drew full rations today
