Passed through (Somerville?), making quick time all day, Passed the ruins of several houses and barns burned by order of Negley for harboring gurillas Reached N at 1 PM, having marched 20 miles found our reg't 2 miles south west of the city Met the 9th Mich going to Gallatin They were taken at the surrender of Murfreesboro and exchanged lately Thurs 18 Lay still to-day cleaned up camp Friday 19th Fell in at 5 AM for a foraging expedition.
