(Added note at head of page:-) McCune drunk all day Fell in at 3 1/2 this morning got in our pitts, as the enemy were reported making demonstrations in our front. At 8 we began cleaning our arms & preparing for inspection One of Co C shot by accident At 9 we rec'd orders to fix up our arms and fall in quickly Got into the works lay there a couple hours, Cavalry & Elite went, found 1500 rebels this side the river drove them back, At 6 in evening fell in quickly
