30 Thanksgiving day - Regt visited the camp of the 17th and listened to an able sermon by the 17th Chaplain Were mustered for pay in afternoon Turned over our tents, and pitched our "[dry?] tents" May 1st Had a brigade drill in forenoon which was a well executed drill throughout, but severe on the men and caused a good deal of grumbling Col Lister left for Murfreesboro,
