Cary Club of Marion meeting minutes, 1913-1916

June 1st 1914      Marion Iowa
Cary Club met with Mrs Mentger.
Fourteen members present & five visitors.  Mrs Angle of Chicago.  Mrs listenbarger of Marion.  Mrs Lee Wilson & Mrs Baker.  Marion.  Mrs Jennie Wilson of C Rapids.  Quotations were given in answer to roll call.  Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved.
Club decided to have a picnic supper and invite our husbands or one guest.
Pres appointed.  Com on refreshments. Mrs Pyle.  Mrs Alexander.  Mrs Shumack.  Mrs Hutchinson for Club Tea.  June 15th at Mrs Alexander.
Greeting from Honorary Members were ready by Mrs Bailey & Mrs Alexander 
letters were rec'd from Mrs Phebe Carson. Bufort, Ia.  Mrs F W Knowlton Ballard, Wash  Mrs Florence Sargeant. C Rapids.  Miss Mary Durham. Washington. D.C.  Mrs J H Reynolds Greensboro Ind.  Mrs Wm Parmenter. Pomona Cal.  Mrs Kinzer  Kent. Wash.  fMRs Mudge Lion City Ill.  Mrs Dobson Chicago  Mrs Nannie Adams Santiago Cal.  Three Honorary members  Mrs L Wilson.  Mrs Hutchinson & Mrs Jennie Wilson, who is a charter member, also, were present.
These greeting were enjoyed by the Club to hear from so many who are living in five or six States, so many miles away who were once active members, stirred many pleasant members.  I hope we may have the pleasure of such an inspiration again.  We also thot of those who live in our memory who have passed to the great beyond.  They are gone but not forgotten.  Mrs Jennie Wilson gave a poem.
