247 the club adjourned to meet Oct 5 with Mrs. Blinks. Mrs. Addie Shumack Pres. Mrs. Brown Sec Pro Tem. Marion Iowa, Oct 5 1914 Cary Club met at the beautiful country home of Mrs. A.E. Blink, Nineteen members present and six visitors, two of them being honorary members. Responded to roll call with Quotation from "Bob" Burdette, minutes of last meeting were read and approved. President asked for volunteers for entertainment for delegates for district co[illegible]. Mrs. Alexander and Mrs. Brown responded. An invitation to the wedding of Miss Jessie Ives was read. Also an announcement of the marriage of Mrs. Florence Sargeant was read. Motion made by Mrs. Brown that Sec. be instructed to send a note of greeting to Mrs. Sargeant. Mrs. Ives in a few well chosen words thanked the ladies for their cooperation and help during the past year. Mrs. Rathburn spoke of the story written by the Club members a few years ago and suggested we have an all day meeting and read the story. Motion we have this meeting with Mrs. Rathburn when convenient for her. Mrs. Shumack then read a paper on "Iowa's public
