8.Gravel Take 1 handfull of your wild common Mallow's, pick & wash it very clean, then put it into cold water in a Tea kettle & let it boyl 4 or 5 minutes & drink it as Tea sweetened w:th syrup of Marsh Mallows. 9. Rheumatism Take 4 Balls of Stone Horse Dung, 2 Spoonfulls of Mustard Seed bruised 2 oz: of Liquorice sliced & strung 2 bunches of Penny-royal shred, a quarter pound Figgs Sliced, a quarter pound Raisons stoned, mix all ye Ingrediets & tye 'em in a Cloth, ye make, Posset drink w:th 3 Quarts of Ale & a quart of Milk. w:n ye Curds are taken off, put in ye Ingredients & give it a gentle boyl, y:n put all into an Earthen Vesel & stop it close for use. Drink half a pint fasting, ye same at 4 afternoon. likewise going to Bed, Blood warm, keep ye Ingredients in till all is taken. 10. Present Strain Quart of [Basabar?], boyl it w:th Rose leaves & Pomegranate Flowers half a quarter of an hour strain it & dip your [rowler?] in ye Wine & apply to ye part afflicted. 11. Stone in ye Bladder or Kidneys Take Elder Flower Buds, before they be full blown out & dry em between clean Papers & keep em very dry, w,n you mean to use em lay em before ye Fire till you can powder 'em and take as much as will lye on three Crown pieces w:th a draught of Strong White Wine after it you must fast 3 or 4 hours & walk
