106. Milk water for Consumption
A Calves pluck clean'd as Butchers usually do it, cut it into Thin slices & put 3 or 4 Quarts of new milk as soon as it Comes out ye Calf, put blood fat and Everything belong: to it yn it may retain as much of ye natural heat as possible Add to it half a p:d Dates sliced Maidenhair Sage of Virtue Scabions a handfull of each, Anyseeds bruised 2 oz: Candid orange peel 2 oz: Infuse all close covered a night, next day still it off in a Cold still to 7 Pints, it must be stirred yn it may not burn, & ye fire must not goe out till all's drawn off otherwise it will be apt to sour ye Bottles, it must be Close covered w:th Paper but not Corked, a man may take half a Pint morn - & night fasting an hour after each dose A Child a qu:r pint at same times Add to each Dose 2. oz: Red Rose water if ye Patient be not [Coslive?] (if so) omitted use it three weeks, make it March or Sep:r don't take it w:n it begins to Sour It strengthens the stomach Creates Appetite & Takes of all Feverishness

When you have straind your juice, to every Pint put 3 ounces of loaf sugar; & set it over a slow fier; let it not boyle to fast keep it stirring least it burns, it myst boyle tell it comes to a soft jeley
