Now Ellen I was quite well pleas to learn that father has succeed in hiring a school "Mam" but I think things must have raise in price considerabl since I left for the summer wages to be thirty dollars, but then you undoubtly have a good teacher, now Ellen try & go as regular as your health permit, your letters are wrote firstrate I am glad I have one sister that has some respect for a brother soldier, Now Ellen you may tell Sallie that if she don't feel like writing to me, why she may classify herself a Rhoades altogether, I guess Ellen I know a little about the "Peoples Girls they can talk equal to a "Miss" Rhinheart you acquainted with
