55 Baba One table spoonful of good yeast, 1/4 lb of butter, 1/4 lb of flour a little salt, to be well mixed in a basin with a little warm milk, and put in a warm place to rise. Then add two table spoonfuls, or more if you like the cake sweet, of pounded Sugar; three eggs & 3/4 lb of flour a few raisins stoned and cut fine. Knead all well together and let it stand by the side of the fire till well risen. Bake it well in a moderate oven. It will require a few trials before it is quite well made the success depending chiefly upon the yeast being good and the oven of a right heat
