Noyeau 3 quarters of a pd of Bitter almonds, and 1/4 of a pd of sweet almonds blanched and well beaten, put them into 2 quarts of common gin & let it stand 5 or 6 days shaking it once or twice each day, then boil 3 pds of lump sugar in two quarts of soft water till it becomes a syrup, pour the liquor and water upon the almonds boiling hot in order the take out any spirit that may be in them. Raspberry Vinegar 1 quart of Raspberry juice 1 pint of white wine vinegar 1 pint of clarified sugar, boil all together 10 minutes. Plumb Cake 6 oz of butter worked to a cream 8 oz of sugar sifted 8 oz of flour 5 Eggs whites and yolks beat seperate beat all well together and bake in a moderate oven A Seed Cake - Mrs Jackson 24 ounces of Butter beat to a cream, 24 ounces of powder sugar white - 24 ounces of flour will dried 12 Eggs leaving out the whites of 4 a few carroway seeds, if you like you can put in almonds cut in peices the cake should be beat an hour, & 2 hours to Bake it in a moderate oven.
