Ginger Bread Loaf Mrs Readshaw 1/4 of a Stone of Treacle. 1/4 Stone of Flour half a pound of Brown sugar. one cup of cream. 3 Eggs well beaten. 1 oz of ground Ginger. 1 oz of Coriander Seeds. 1 half pennyworth of Pearl Ash. mix the above ingredients, & work them well together as if making bread. Bake in a large tin, or small separate tins. Half the above quantity will make a nice sized Loaf. Recipe to knit Ladies over shoes Sixty six loops in width Twenty four in depth
