To Make Tops & Bottoms Put 4 ounces of Butter into a lb of Flour - beat two eggs with one large spoonful of Yeast & a tea cup of milk, pour it into the middle of the Flour & mix some with it, set it by the fire till it is properly risen - Then mix it together and make little cakes - put them upon tins. Bake them in a slow oven, when they are a little Brown cut them in halves and set them into the Oven again to dry - Keep them in a dry place
