Ginger Bread Mrs Shorting Two pounds of flour 1 1/2 lb of Treacle 1 lb of sugar 1 nutmeg 4 oz - of candied orange peel 1 oz of ginger and 1 lb of fresh butter Melt the butter and Treacle and pour them on the other ingredients Make it into a paste and leave it till quite cold, then roll it out make it into What Shape you please and bake it in a Slow oven
