Biscuits very good 1 lb of Flour 1/4 lb of Butter 3 ozs of Lump Sugar 3 eggs and one Table spoonful of Milk if required but the paste Must be very Stiff, rolled very thin cut into Shapes and Stamped very full of holes or they will rise Shrewberry Cakes 1 lb of Flour 6 ozs of Sugar 1/4 lb of Butter and 1 egg - work it into a paste roll it out cut them into Shapes [prick?] them thick bake them on Tins
