A Pint of Strong Coffee 3 1/2 table spoonful of ground coffee [illegible] down in the Biggin. pour on it 1 1/2 pint of boiling water, but don't strain - pour it out of the Biggin into the Silver Coffee Pot - Mrs. Hall 1861 Linseed Tea Take 3 Tablespoonsful of Linseed, about one pint of water & boil 10 minutes. Strain off the water, put the Linseed in a bag with 2 Lemons cut in thin slices & some brown sugar A [illegible] of [illegible] is an [illegible] Cheese Cakes Churn 2 quarts milk, drain the curd pour the whey, pound the curd when dry with 1 table-spoonful powdered sugar, a little parted Lemon peel 1/2 cup pounded sweet almonds, a little powdered nutmeg & Cinnamon. Beat 1/4 [illegible] Butter to a froth, add the other ingredients the yolks of 3 Eggs well beaten & a [Illegible]
