149 Strengthening drink -- good in some cases [illegible] last thing at night -- "D" [illegible] Harrowgate - [illegible] [May Carnegie?] A table spoonful of brandy A dessert spoonful of glycerine a dessert spoonful of Lime water fill up the tumbler with [illegible] milk May 1890 [illegible] [D Hiron Watson?] A dessert spoonful of the flour [illegible] a breakfast cupful It much [illegible] mixed quite smooth with a little cold mush Then bring the [het up?] the mush sufficient to allow of some boiling [in?]. to the boil and then stir in the mixture stirring wile -- Simmer slowly afterwards for at least 20 minutes and salt it to taste It should be the consistency of rich custard and if it grown too thick, while simmering a little more milk may be added Turn to page 186 -- Cocoa nut biscuit
