Let the steam go up your mouth. No servettes for evena sit down 5 o clock tea but for high tea certainly 6 cup pudding 1 cupful of flour bread crumbs chopped suet, jam sugar raisins 1 teaspoonful of carbonate of soda. Mix all together boil in a flour'd cloth for 4 hours. Miss King Lee of Society for Promoting the Employment of Women 22. Berciers St [illegible] St London. Everything at [illegible] Parker now is carved on the side board. Soup must always eaten with a table spoon not a dessert spoon. [Tenants?] say. Brown or white soap? Not will you [illegible] If only one or two friends to dinner, the soap Tureen might be put on the table & a hot soup plate being placed before the guests. Never in a pile in front of the host. This applies to all plates. All entrees need dishes & sweets with a fork only. Shery is drunk with soup [illegible] with fish. Champagne after first entree until dessert. Coffee taken into drawing room immediately after. Ladies leave drawing room & immediately after to dining room. tea taken to Drawing room when gentlemen go in about 20 minutes after Ladies have gone before.
