Marble Cake Light part. 1 1/2 cups white sugar 1/2 " butter 1/2 " sweet milk 2 1/2 " flour Whites of four eggs. beat and mix as dark p Dark part 1 " brown sugar 1/2 " butter (1/2 " molasses) 1/2 " sour milk 2 1/2 " flour Yolks of 4 eggs 1/2 teaspoon soda 1 " cream tartar 1/2 " alspice 1/2 " cinnamon 1/2 " clove Beat eggs with sugar soften butter & stir in. put soda & cream tartar in milk- add flour & all the rest. drop in a spoon of light & dark alternately in the pan
