Father, in mercy I ask the for thy aid and guidance and mercy I can do aught. I know not O my God. Dec 28th This day has been snowey and cold snowing this morning continuing till now but did not get much down. Yesterday the boys whent down to Des Moines see Rev K K in the Cars. The boys felt quite hurt about not asking them to come and see him. Yet I cannot [lenture?] him for that because when he use to call here he did not get word very well never bad openly but a sensitive nature. Could feel it - Yesterday Father felt so bad. He was not near so well as today. O Dear - last eve he asked for a powder told Milton I will take it now, for I will not need many more (weep) I said we didn't know, dryed his eyes & took the powder. O how can I write it dear Jesus. Then O he wept, then I felt as though he must take around his neck and kiss him and tell him how good thou art O Lavin Dear Lavin. O I am so helpless but there O thow I know thou will help
