ing. I spoke "Brown of Ossawatomie," by Whittier. Had some fun with Linn about "Midnight Musings" & "Hold on Linda." Saturday 4th. Lillie came at 2 this afternoon and we made soure lemon candy before supper, this is the receipt. Half a cup of vinegar, 2 cups sugar, 1 cup water, lump of butter size of hickory nut. Try in water & flavor when taken off. Linn came over in the evening and I had an excellent time. I can't speak for the others. Sunday 5th. Went to sunday school. The weather is very warm & foggy and has been for the last few days. Wrote to Grandma
