Tuesday Feb 8th Club at Carries, (Linns) this evening - all there - finished "Castle Dangerous" - We are going to read something short before we take another large book. Wed. 9th I have read "Lay of the last Minstrel" and began "Lady of the Lake." I think I shall like the latter best. Thursday 10th Getting warm again. Friday I spoke this afternoon. My piece was the "Pumpkin" by J. G. Whittier. I only learned it last night & so I blundered over it of course.
