Wednesday Mar. 8. I wrote some poetry to Meg and signed Lauries name. Amy (Lillie) helped me to copy it in German class, & we disguised our writing so that I do not think she can tell it. She sits near me & it will be fun to see her look at Laurie when she has read it. I put it in her book so she will find it first thing tomorrow. Thursday Mar. 9 Meg was not at school this morning, but she found the note this afternoon, and thinks that Laurie wrote. Both spent the evening with me. Friday Mar 10th. I spoke, or mumbled "A Psalm of Life" by H. W. Longfellow.
