Monday 15th. Was down stairs at 5 & saw the sun rise. Kate finished my new calico dress and I wore it to school. Spent evening at Megs. It rained most all afternoon. Meg's Aunt Susy is not any better. They have no hope of her recovery. It is only a question of time, now. Meg feels dreadfully. Tuesday 16th Rose early again & saw the sun rise. It rained last night but was very pleasant today. Ripped up part of an old dress after school. Nannie came home today & we all had a ride this evening. She isn't lame at all & went splendidly. We'll have fun now. Wednesday May 17. Up at 4.30 this morning. Had another ride this evening.
