Sunday July 2nd Rather cloudy. I wish July would exhibit its lamb-like propensity soon for I, at least, am sick of rain & clouds every day. Monday July 3rd. Some random shot, woke me early, & I was down stairs at 5.40. It has rained about every 10 minutes today, & has set in for good now, I think. The "H S S" has considerably diminished. The few faithful ones met on the front porch, on acct. of rain at the usual hour. I spent the evening with Meg & had a happy time. I am beginning to fear that Beth & I have changed places with Laurie. I think I shall try & find out before we go East.
