Saturday July 8th Very, very, very warm. Papa said that he did not think we would go East until the first of August. I was over to Linns most of the afternoon & went down town for some shoes just before supper. Played croquet at Annie Scotts after supper. Sunday July 9th. Cooler after the rain in the afternoon. Just after supper a lovely rainbow appeared & lasted for half an hour, at least. It was so bright that its reflection was also visible. I am going to stay all night at Linn's.
