Wednesday Jan 3. School began again today. Somehow I dislike to study, now. Thursday 4th. School, of course. Our club met at Allie's to elect a new member. I did not stay to hear it all. I am afraid there will be some illfealing before we are through. I do hope not. For my part I should prefer to remain the same as we now are. I do not know any one whom I care to have a member but will try & be resigned if some one else is elected _ anything for peace. Friday 5th. Mr. Lacy spent the evening here & with Pappa, Mamma & May played whist until May's nose began to bleed & I took her place. We played
