I like changes in most things, I guess & very much in seasons. How tired we would get of snow, sleigh rides & long evenings if the lasted all the year & no bright summer came; I& vice versa. I took my first drawing lesson this morning. I drew outline of two trees & a fence, & my lessor for next Tuesday is to draw the same thing from memory. I made a bread pudding for dinner. German as usual. I hoped Linn would come over this evening, but she did not. I see so little of all the girls, now that if I were not busy most of the time, I am afraid that I should be lonesome. Friday 2nd. I made applesauce & a cake today. After German I went to the Library
