& Grace wanted to go to school so bad that I took them. Mr. Irish put them in the first class without examination, Grace liked going to school she said, but I guess it wont last long. Friday, 16th. Made gingersnaps after Mrs H's recipe - They are better than before. Saturday, Mar. 17th. I made bread & did any usual work this morning. Linn & Grace & I had a long sleigh ride in the afternoon & then they stayed to tea. It was a lovely afternoon & excellent sleighing. Barnabee troupe this evening. Splendid!
