Convulsions and Cholicky pains Sulpher Cream Tarter and Sugar candy of each one Ounce grind them in a Morter Then add oil of Carraways Anniseed and Orange peel of each 30 drops Dose 30 grains [&] Dr Johnsons remedy for Rheumatism Take of Flours of Sulpher and Mustard of each an Ounce Treacle or Honey sufficient for an Electuary Dose the Size of a nutmeg Several Times a day Drink after each dose a quarter of a pint of the decoction of Lovage root Or as a substitute for the Lovage 30 or 40 drops of volatile Tincture of gum-guiacum may be taken in a little Tea or Milk Or if the person is feverish 15 or 20 drops of Antimonial-Wine in Tea or water will be better than gumguaiacum For Liver and various other complaints Take Extract of Hyasiamus (Or which the same of Henbane) 4 Grains of Calomel one grain Ipecacuanha half a grain Rhubarb in power enough to form the whole into one pill This quantity to be taken every Night While taking the above medicine Take also Twice a day on an empty stomach a wine glass of the infusion of Calumba-root thinly sliced made pretty strong NB pour boiling water on it and let simmer some time before a slow fire A Cure for Corns Take purified Ammonia and yellow wax of each two ounces Acetate of Copper Six drams Mix the two former and add the latter when they are nearly cold cut the Corn and apply the ointment on a pice of soft leather or linen. Let this be renewed in a fortnight unless the Corn is destroyed before To Cure the Tooth ake Take two Drams of Alum reduce it to a very fine powder Put it into seven Drams of sweet spirits of Nitre Apply a little of this to the tooth Another Take of Salt Brandy and vineger of each one Tea-spoonfull convey this to the pained tooth in the best manner you can It is a good remedy
