Whitney Rodgers For the [Yellows?]. Take cumin seeds [Anise?] and Best Turmeric root in powder of each 2 ounces grains of paradise in powder castle soap and salt of Tarter of each 1 [illegible] Treacle 2 ounces. Mix slice the soap and then pour a quart of boiling on it cover it until about [illegible] milk worm and [illegible]. It may be proper to repeat it several times every other day. Another for the same. Take [illegible] [illegible] 1 ounce, Castle soap, salt of tarter and ginger in powder of each half an ounce [Anise?]- seed powdered 2 ounces, Caster oil 4 ounces Treacle 4 Table spoonfulls. Mix for one drink put it into a pitcher and pour a quart of hot [illegible] on it and give it as before. For the Hoose or Cough in Calves [occtioned?] by worms. Take Alum in powder 4 ounces [Nitne?] and [illegible] in powder of each 2 ounces [prepared?] steel in powder one ounce Treacle 4 ounces Mix let them be put in a pitcher and one quart of boiling [illegible] be poured upon it when cold enough give it for one dose. Take of oil of vitrial half an ounce Tincture of opium (That is Laudanum) half an ounce treacle 4 table spoonfulls Mix and give it in 2 quarts of warm [illegible] It may be repeated if necessary Take notice Sometimes a half a pound of common salt dissolved in 2 quarts of sour butter Milk will cure the complaint. For the coming off the calfs bed (called by some the [wave?] Take Rectified spirits of Wine [5?] ounces Camphor sliced [1?] ounce to be dissolved in the spirits Then add [illegible] water 4 ounces and soft water one quart.
