They must lay in this Brine a Week & then must be dry'd in an oven till there is no Moisture left in them; then take the white wine vinegar, put into it some Cloves, Mace & Ginger, 2 Nutmegs, 2 or 3 Cloves of Garlic; let it all boil together & when it is cold mix in it an oz. of Flour of Mustard; pour it on y.r Lemons & tye them up close. To pickle Cucumbers; Make a Brine that will bear an Egg & boil it, take the Scum off & when cold put you Cucumbers in; put something to keep them down under the Brine; let them Stand a Month, then wash them & put them to green
