Take 2 large Tea Cup fulls of the Cocoa Substance & a Quart of Water; put it in a Common Coffee Pot placed upon a slow Fire, upon which y/e Water continues simmering till rather more than a third of it is wasted; the remainder to be strain'd thro' a Sieve - Mrs. Woodward's Receipt to make French Rolls. mother thinks good Take 2 lb of fine Flour, a little Milk warmed w.th one oz: of Butter; one Egg well beaten; 3 or 4 Spoonfuls of Barm that has stood all Night with a Quantity of Water to take off the Bitter; add to it a very little Salt; then
