Mrs. Woodward's Receipt to keep Hams. Take a Trowel & mortar them all over so as to form a Case & hang them in a Cellar. Mrs. Wickham's Receipt for Raisin Wine. Four Hundred of Raisins pickt clean; put them in a large Tub & 30 Gallons of Spring Water; let them stand 8 Days, mashing them well; press them off thro' a Hair Bags; turn it into your Hogshead; then throw on 20 Gallons more of Water; let them stand 8 Days longer; press it off very dry, by which you gain 10
