Wine the rine of a lemon & a tea spoonfull of ginger some Carraway & beat well A Seed Cake Mix a quarter of a peck of flower with half a pound of of Sugar a quarter of a ounce of allspice & a little ginger melt three quarters of a pound of butter With half a pint of milk When warm put to it a quarter of a pint of yeast & work up to a good dough let it stand before the fire a few minutes
