With the flour & then pour in to it as much butter melted as Will make it a good thickness to role out Mold it Well and roll it thin and cut them round LittLe Short Cakes Rub into a pound of dried flour four ounces of butter fourer ounces of white powder sugar one egg & a spoonfull of thin cream to make a paste When mixed put currents into it cut them as before and bake on tins Benton Tea Cake Mix a paste of flour alittle bit of butter and milk roll as thin as possible & bake on a tin before the fire
