Very good common plum cake Mix five ounces of butter in thre pounds of dry flower & five ounces of fine Lisbon sugar add six ounces of currents Washed and dried and some pimento fine powdered put three spoonfuls of yeast into a pint of new milk Warmed and mix into a light dough With the above make it into twelve cakes on a tin well buttered bake half an hour Another, Sort As Biscuit Rub into a pound of flour six ounces of butter & three large spoonfuls of yeast & make into a paste With a sufficient quantity of new milk and make into a biscuit
