either bottles or Jars & tie them down with bladder's. It may be used an hour after & it will keep for yr's. Colts Foot Wine 1 Quart of dried Flowers to a gallon of Boiling water, 4 lbs of sugar 2 lemons & Six Oranges. work with Yeast when lukewarm about half a cupfull, to be worked in a bowl & then bottled in a stone bottle four or five weeks. Pickle For Beef or Pork. To 3 gallons of water add 10 lbs of salt 2 oz of salt petre 1 lb coarse raw sugar boil for 20 minutes skim it well during boiling it will keep good for 3 months When it begins to look queer add a little more Salt petre sugar & boil again.
