Saving...
-86 - Add beauty to the scene From the distant mountain side we hear One sweet birdie's whistle and another's song Ringing out upon the morning air so clear Bringing cheer to us all day long. But more seldom do we hear The call of that wild and wary one Which seems to tell us rain is near And soon from our vision shall depart the glorious sun His story seems true and not mere fun For we see more of rain than of sun Upon the mountain sides the blue-bells and numerous flowers grow Of shape so dainty and color fair From whence they come and how who can know And the mosses rare & long and ferns of maidenhair But to me the dearest of all the sights Are those little maids so rosy-cheeked and fair Driving cows and chasing sheep
