Oct 28 69 Fort Dodge Dear Sister Harriet We received your letter Some time [sence?] have [delayd?] Answered It untill Now We are all well at present we have had some Winter already quite a snow but did not last Long It is quite cold today It is very pleasant here in the Summer time I do not know as I write to you that I quit the shop in april on the account of my health and started down to the south part of the state to Look for a place that would soot me
