San Francisco July, 22 '/64 Mr. Eno Respected friend Im writing to you to night I am happy to be the bearer of better news than in my last. So it seems there is no dark cloud but has a silver lining, judge of my suprise in taking up last sabbath morning,s paper to find your Brother,s [nambe?] advertised as one of the speakers of the evening in Dashaway Hall (a hall dedicated to temperance) of course I availed myself of the privelige of listening to his address . and at the close of the meeting I spoke to him. he was very much suprised to meet me here I saw him at your house a long time ago.
