Provisions of all kinds ware plenty in and around the house which the boys [freely?] appropriated and [illeg] ery other things so as Several [slaves?] of besides was a rich treat sure. The niggers spoken of have hired themselves out as servants to officers in our camp. Commenced Raining at 3 o'clock P.M. Sep 18 Rained all night but cleared off this morning. We ware relieved at 9 Oclock A.M. and come to camp.
